When you upload your resume and a job description, our system automatically extracts key skills from both documents. It then compares these skills and categorizes them into three distinct groups for easy visualization and action:
- Existing Skills (colored in blue): These are skills already present in your resume. They show that you have the qualifications the job requires.
- Missing Skills (colored in red): These are skills mentioned in the job description but not found in your resume. Identifying these gaps helps you understand what additional qualifications might be expected by employers.
- Recommended Skills (colored in orange): These are skills that our system suggests you consider adding to your resume. Including these might make your application more competitive and tailored to the job.
Modifying Skills:
Adding new skills is straightforward with our user-friendly interface. Simply type a skill into the "Add New Skill" box and click the plus icon to include it in your resume. If you need to remove a skill, hover your mouse over the skill and click it; it will move to the "Recommended Skills" area. This allows you to reassess whether to keep it, modify it, or remove it entirely.
When you decide to edit or delete a skill from the recommended area, clicking on the skill will bring up a modal popup window. Here, you can choose to edit the skill, change its description, or delete it altogether. This flexibility ensures that your resume is always up-to-date and aligned with your career goals.
Finalizing Your Resume:
Only the skills displayed in blue are used when rewriting your targeted resume. This ensures that your resume emphasizes the skills you actually possess, making it highly relevant to the job you're applying for.
